Just got the new Tyla cd's this morning.

Am listening to As It Was How It Is Vol 1 -easy one to get into this one as its all acoustic versions of Dog's songs. Good value for money the 1st one 19 tracks on it.

The other 13 Shades of Black is all new material

Have listened to a few tracks of the new stuff as well. Not too bad on the first listen.

"XIII Shades of black" is the best Tyla solo album to date, acoustic in the same way as "Nocturnal Nomad" and even better than that album, The acoustic versions of Dogs songs on "As it was" is also superb , best releases Tyla has done for some time, well worth getting hold of!!!

Yep!! The new Dogs cd is pretty good , it's still in the same style as "When bastards go to hell" but the songs are a lot better and the drum machine is less noticable. The songwriting is of a much higher quality though!

So it's more like "When Bastards Go To Hell" than the old stuff? I thought Bastards was a really poor album.I'll definately buy a copy of the old acoustic Dogs songs though.

Yeah! still same style but much much better!

His solo acoustic one is the best though with all new tracks and acoustic reworkings of "Even angels have bad days", "Little boy you " and "painkiller" (of Backyard Babies fame) - love it!!

Look froward to some of these releases. Although some of Tyla's recent stuff including last Dogs cd has not impressed me much.
